David, the father is a former IBM sales representative, and Peggy Jackson Beamer is a muralist.
Both the Beamers are 1960 graduates of Sebring McKinley High School, per The Review.
Todd was born as the middle child of three and the only son of the Beamer couple.
The Beamer family is originally from Michigan while they relocated to Poughkeepsie, New York, and then to Wheaton, Illinois, later in life.
David worked at Amdahl, a computer technology company while they started a new life in Wheaton.
