"The Walking Dead" actor Gus Morgan is deeply rooted in the entertainment business. The teenager is from an incredibly talented family — a son to a Hollywood power couple. See how gifted Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's son is in reality.

In May 2009, Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan met for the first time at a bar with two mutual friends, Jensen and Danneel Ackles. While the rest is history, the pair have created a wonderful, inspiring love story.

Since their first hangout, the Hollywood stars have been inseparable. Even though it took about a decade before they shared wedding vows, they showed commitment by starting a family.

Whether in their careers or parenting, Burton and Jeffrey support each other. In 2010, they became parents after the arrival of their only son, Gus Morgan. Eight years later, they welcomed a daughter, George.

The duo has devoted their lives to parenting and influencing their offspring through the years. These sacrifices are seemingly yielding positive results.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Delivered His Son with Hilarie Burton Himself

"Grey's Anatomy" alum Jeffrey Dean Morgan became a dad in 2010 at 44, one year after he began dating his younger lover. The couple was tight-lipped about their pregnancy. The actress was not photographed in public for about a year until after the birth of their son.

During AMC's "Friday Night In With The Morgans," the couple revealed that their son wanted to name his sister "Limousine" after they asked him to think of the cutest word.

Although they refused to divulge details about their pregnancy to the public, an insider maintained that Burton shared the news in her inner circle. The source revealed:

"She told friends about her pregnancy back in August after she had spent a lot of time with Jeffrey on location in New Mexico."

Following the announcement, Ian Prange, Burton's ex-husband, revealed his confidence in the actress's motherhood abilities. He explained that she would be a great mom. While Gus is her first child, he is Jeffrey's second. The actor shares an older son with Hollywood maven Sherrie Ross.

Despite being a private couple, the "Rampage" star has been vocal about his fatherhood journey. While speaking to People, the proud dad mentioned delivering his kids with the help of a midwife. He shared:

"We didn't use doctors, we used a midwife… so I delivered both of my kids. The first time I didn't know, I was shocked that I was part of it… Hilarie was over it, so it was awesome. I got to deliver both my kids, for real, it was cool."

Jeffrey and Hilarie Teach Their Son Gus to Treat Everyone with Kindness

Surprisingly the rigors of Hollywood have not interfered with the couple's passion for parenting. They are concerned about instilling the right values in their kids, verbally and through their actions.

Before welcoming their daughter, the "Grey's Anatomy" alum talked about the template he had laid down by teaching Gus the importance of kindness.

The movie star noted his firstborn son was grounded in the concepts of equality and social awareness. Without mincing words, he confidently pointed out the extent he had gone to ensure his son got the memo. In his words:

"And showering him with love. I think that's what we've all got to do as parents — we love our kids. And I think that's why I'm a pretty okay dad. He knows his dad loves him."

In return for his parents' love, Gus has honored them with an amazing character, earning praise from his dad. Following Gus's first-ever movie premiere (the family attended the "Rampage" premiere in 2018), the "The Losers" star commended his son for his exceptional behavior. Jeffrey noted:

"I'm just so proud of him, he's such a good kid..this amazing, polite kid who is very thoughtful and he asks questions. He's big on his pleases and thank yous and it makes me so proud to take him to an event like [the Rampage premiere] and see how he interacts."

Gus Is Already Following in His Parents' Footsteps in Acting

Fortunately, the apple did not fall too far from the tree, as Gus' movie moments go beyond supporting his dad on the red carpet. The teenager is now an actor following his debut on AMC's "The Walking Dead."

He starred as a zombie walker in the "Out of the Ashes" episode. Jeffrey appeared overjoyed, welcoming another family member to the board of actors! The older "The Walking Dead" star shared an Instagram photo of the younger actor in action and behind the scenes. The accompanying caption read:

"My dude. Me, @hilarieburton and George THATS MY BOY!! We are super proud of Gusy Dean. Thanks to @amcthewalkingdead and @gnicotero for making a dream come true…"

Gus Is a Big Fan of Elvis

Amazingly, Gus is an actor and a loyal fan of Elvis Presley. To celebrate her son's first day of seventh grade, Burton shared an image of the teenager rocking his Elvis-inspired look.

He donned a varsity jacket, skinny jeans, and black boots while his hair was patterned to appear slick. The previous day, the excited mom talked about how star-struck her son was by the deceased pop star, as a younger boy, by treating fans to a montage of snaps.

Each showed Gus's admiration, from playing dress-up to singing his songs and watching the new Baz Luhrmann Elvis film. Still proving allegiance to his idol, Gus aspires to be a director, thanks to Luhrmann's Elvis film.

Burton quipped, "Gus wants to be a director. He studies this movie for its soundtrack and artistry and that very specific @bazluhrmann trademark of extravagance and heartbreak. He takes the story of Elvis so seriously. I love how he analyzes all of it."

Gus Wanted to Name His Sister 'Limousine'

Undoubtedly, Burton and Jeffrey's kids are a source of joy and everything they had hoped for, but not without a few bumps along the way. The "One Tree Hill" actress once confessed that she struggled with infertility before having her second child.

It took five years for her to become pregnant, and through it all, her family supported her, including her husband and a young son, who picked out a cute name for his sister.

During AMC's "Friday Night In With The Morgans," the couple revealed that their son wanted to name his sister "Limousine" after they asked him to think of the cutest word.

While they might not have gone with his suggestion, Burton and Jeffrey are overjoyed to have their son model after their views and now follow their career paths.
